1999 Bell Prize

The following paper (originally in the SC'99 Proceedings, updated in December 1999) received recognition in the form of a Gordon Bell Prize in the "Special" Category at Supercomputing '99:

  • Kyle Anderson, William Gropp, Dinesh Kaushik, David Keyes and Barry Smith, 1999, "Achieving High Sustained Performance in an Unstructured Mesh CFD Application" (ps) (pdf)

Slides of the Bell Prize talk are available at here(in powerpoint) and here(in 2-to-a-page postscript - warning: very large file).

A short layman's overview putting the Bell Prize computation in context for a bulletin board display at ODU is here (in postscript).
