What webdesign means to us

At DJvu Design, we fulfill a couple of core ideals in creating your site.

  • Design

We will work with you to create the perfect look for your site or brand. We start by getting examples of what you like and dislike. Then, we will work to create a look that is beautiful, unique, and a clear representation of your mission. You will be presented with mockups of potential designs so that we can make adjustments until you are fully satisfied.

  • Coding Standards

We make sure that everyone can view your site. When coding your template, we strive to ensure that your site appears as much the same as possible to visitors of many different browsers, machines, and connection speeds. This means creating XHTML and CSS valid templates that follow set standards.

  • Usability

What good is a great looking design if you can't get to the information? A successful website is about more than just a pretty template. During the design process, we will always consider whether the site is easy to navigate and understand. Our goal is to ensure that your site's visitors get the information they want quickly and easily.

  • Maintenance

Our template code is easy to understand and we can further future-proof your site with a backend. In addition, we are also able to set up or create a backend so that you can manage a large amount of content or update with even more ease. Or, we can take care of you site for you.

Where we came from and what the name means

DJvu Design was created by a group of high school students. The "D" and "J" happen to be the first initials of the founders and "DJvu" is a vowel deprived play on the word "deja vu". We like to think that this represents the modern, yet familiar and understandable feel of our work. However, "deja vu" is also a cool-sounding word. You decide.
